The marathon world record continues to drop. This time it is Kenyan Patrick Makau who bested Haile Gebrselassie's previous world's best time of 2:03.59, taking away an astonishing 21 seconds to win the Berlin Marathon in 2:03.38. The great man Haile himself was running in the race and remained in contention but ultimately dropped out. For a more in-depth reporting of the news, please click on this link.
