For many people, weekends are usually time for rest, recovery, recuperation, and catching up/spending time with loved ones. One should be rested and all charged-up for the new week that lies ahead. I wish I could say that about myself...
After another usual less-than-satisfactory sleep (good sleep is a luxury for me nowadays-I would be thankful for 8 hours of solid, uninterrupted sleep), Saturday began with a visit to my orthopedic to determine the extent of recuperation for my left knee. After performing a few physical tests (inter alia getting me to fully extend my knee, and determining how "tight" it was), the orthopedic declared that I am doing very well. I was further informed that for the graft to fully develop, I need another 6 months. I thought it was 1 year and all would be well? Oh well, anyway, for all intents and purposes, I can do most activities. "Just don't injure yourself again", I was advised. Yes sir. No plans to undertake any risky physical endeavours that will put my knee at risk.
The rest of the day was spent taking care of the kids and taking the maid to the dentist, before I went for an hour's run and another hour of cycling. Then it was dinner, putting the kids to sleep before heading out to meet a friend who is visiting from KL. I finally went to bed at about 145am.
I slept in on Sunday; had brunch, then went grocery shopping and worked out for 1.5 hours on the stationary bike. Then it was already dinner time. Stayed up to follow the live updates of the Man U vs Chelsea on Eurosport and I hit the sack at about 115am.
Which brings me to today, feeling completely knackered. A strong cup of coffee helped.
A week to look forward to as pay day beckons.
I also hope the haze isn't too severe...I want to run home everyday after work.
