I'm wearing 2 Nike Bands- "Livestrong" and "Confidence"

I just read that Ajeep was involved in an accident last night, during the Putrajaya Night Attack.  Apparently he was cycling and hit a pothole, causing him to crash.  He suffered a broken collarbone.  As I write this I believe he’s in the operation room.  I wish him a speedy recovery.

I spoke to Azwar who visited Ajeep when he was warded at the hospital. His report on the incident can be read on his website.

It is sad when a fellow athlete is involved in such an accident.  Cycling is a dangerous sport.  When you are riding a bike at 30-40km/h, there is always the possibility of wiping out and serious injuries.  When I was BMXing in my early years I fell so many times.  I still can see some of the scars on my legs and elbow.  I’ve always liked cycling but the only cycling I’ll do is on a stationery bike in the gym.  I guess I can be regarded as risk averse- kiasi.  But I don’t want to suffer an injury from cycling that will keep me out of action from running altogether, for a certain, or extended period of time.

I ran 6 laps with Kenny at KLCC park.  This was my “recovering-from-illness” run.  I felt sluggish and had problems staying with him.  Judging from yesterday’s form, my only hope is to complete the race within the medaling position.

Lunch was with Jamie, followed later by Newton and Li Sar.

I’m 87% healed.

I think I’ll run today.
