Laundry Service
Weekend was good.
Saturday- I woke up late, had some breakfast and went back to sleep again. Wonderful! Felt so refreshed by 4:00pm. Later I went for foot reflexology (blind man) at Damansara Uptown. He remarked that judging from my feet, he could tell that I was lacking sleep. Sheesh! It's so true! He must have felt something in my feet that allowed him to come to that conclusion. The reflexology was really painful but I felt really good after that. After that I decided to go for Satay Kajang Haji Samuri (I hope that's the name). Apparently they are one of the famous Satay vendors from Kajang and have opened a branch in Uptown. I was a little sceptical but I was also a little hungry, so I decided to give it a shot.
My conclusion- superb stuff. The kuah satay was served in a very large bowl (ala Kajang style), and the satay itself was chunky and meaty. I ordered 5 sticks each of beef and chicken. Both were very good. I would go there again.
Sunday was quiet. More resting. After church, I had dim sum for breakfast with Chen, Tey, CM, Ronnie,Siew Moi, Chen's wife and his family. Then I went to Subang Parade and got a new set of vest and shorts from ASICS- they were on sale, 30% off. All for a grand total of RM55. Very reasonable. Overall a good weekend.
Although I began Monday with a somewhat rushed but good breakfast with Jamie (who was almost recovered from his throat infection and cough), more was to follow- I had a meeting to attend. I expected the meeting to last throughout the day but thankfully the "participants" were in a rush too- and it ended by 1:30pm. I saw that I had 5 missed calls- I found out from Ronnie that Ajeep was in town and he already had lunch with the gang. Oh well, another day I guess. Later in the evening I had 2 appointments to meet- my running appointment at KLCC park, and tennis with a friend at 815pm. I figured that if I arrived at the park by 635pm, that would give me enough time for a 8 lapper, before I run back to the car and rushed to Sunway for tennis. Thing was, I had some last minute things to rush and I left the office at 625pm, and I barely made it at KLCC park on time. Luckily I was dressed like Superman i.e. I was wearing my running clothes underneath my working clothes. That cut out some changing time.
When I arrived at the park I saw the usual fellas- Jamie, Newton, Kenneth, Rohaizad. Saw pm21 there too but her husband was strangely missing- later I saw him sitting on one of the benches in his work clothes. Apparently he's not running.
I wore my Nike Kantanas- the shoe was alright, apart from the hotspots that I experienced on my feet. It was quite uncomfortable and it affected my running speed. I wonder if there is anything I can do about them. I averaged about 6:38 per lap. After completing the 8 laps I rushed back to the car and drove to Sunway. With the heavy traffic I arrived 10 minutes late and played another 1.5 hours of tennis. Very rusty as you can imagine.
Woke up this morning with slight aches over my body- due to the tennis probably, and my previously unused muscles.
I'm still contemplating whether to go for a quick run in the gym during lunch today before Tuesday track.
