Quick updates

Much has happened. About 3 months ago (25 March to be exact), on the day we were due to attend the Maroon 5 concert in Singapore, Mrs Rabbit told me she was pregnant. A subsequent visit to the gynae confirmed Mrs Rabbit's pregnancy. Needless to say, I am completely over the moon. Now in her 4th plus month, the baby bump is really starting to show. Another 5 months (or less to go!)

On the running front, nothing much to report. I feel lucky to be able to more-or-less maintain a certain level of consistency as far as my workouts are concerned- the usual weekday workout consisting of RPM (spinning) classes and supplemented by an easy 30-45 minutes run. Saturdays and Sundays are usually an hour's worth of RPM, tops. I guess this is a "maintenance phase"- when I log in some serious mileage, I will be in better condition to withstand it.

I haven't signed up for any races. The short term plan in the next 6 months (aside from being a dad, of course!) is to run the 21k in the Standard Chartered Singapore International Marathon. I will have more time come August, which will give me the opportunity to train. Perhaps I will sign up for a few races in Singapore and KL, if there are any during October/November, to get ready for SIM.

I also purchased a new set of rubbers- the Nike Air Zoom Hayward. Mrs Rabbit has bought me the yellow/green one for my upcoming birthday (so no surprises there) while I bought the black one. Aside from the aesthetics (it is absolutely beautiful), it is a fantastic shoe to run in.
