Happy New Year
Gosh, long time no post. Happy New Year, Merry Xmas etc. Since coming back from Phuket, work has been pretty hectic although thankfully everything is usually settled within the working hours of my firm i.e. between 845am to 530pm. One good thing here is that there is certainly a work-life balance in the firm. I also wanted to blog during Xmas time but the quake in Taiwan etc made slowed the internet down. Anyway, December is a busy-ish month for me anyway- I have 3 birthdays to celebrate, in addition to Xmas and New Year's Eve. It's my brother's on the 20th, then the wife's on 29th, and my mother on 31st. So, 20th December was dinner with the family for brother's birthday; 24th was Xmas eve dinner with the in-laws; 25th was dinner with the parents; 28th was karaoke to celebrate wife's friend; 29th was dinner with wife; 30th fetched her to airport; 31st was dinner with parents, followed by ushering in the new year at my parent's apartment by Holiday Villa Subang.
Overall I had a pretty good holiday (although it never is long enough). Wife went to Melbourne to attend a wedding, and she's gonna be back on Saturday. At least we start our working week today, on Wednesday. But I don't feel so well today. Of all the days to fall ill, it had to be yesterday/early this morning, when I experienced what was probably one of my worst migraines ever. I went to bed at 12am, thinking I was tired. But the next few hours were just absolute torture as the migraine made its way around my head. It was so bad that I could not sleep. I took a couple of panadols and that seemed to help a little bit. I'm still feeling the effects of the migraine as we speak. The pain behind my right eye was (and still is) almost blinding.
Running-wise, I haven't run as much as I would like. I'm still easing my way into running. With the 30k in just 2 weeks time, I'm certainly unprepared for it. No matter- the goal race for me is the KLIM.
Anyway, no running for me today as I just wanna go home and rest.
