Just back from Phuket

My training is akin to the peaks and valleys of the mountains. I've been training pretty hard in the last 6 months to "peak" for Singapore; and now that I've run Singapore with my mission more-or-less accomplished, it's back down to the valley again. I've done only 1 run since Singapore- and that was an easy Thursday run (last week) with Kenny. From now till mid-January at least, I just want to run without thinking about the purpose of each workout, but just for the fun of running itself. Run as fast (or as slowly) as I want to, with no structure whatsoever.

Friday consisted of hardwork of a different kind- in the office- it is after all my "rice bowl", and Saturday was busy. I attended a wedding dinner at the Equitorial Hotel, and was also packing for my 4 day trip to Phuket.

Sunday I headed to Phuket. Took the afternoon flight via Air Asia. In summary, I spent 4 days there and reached home late last night. Had a fantastic time snorkelling and kayaking. If you can get past the endless in-your-face sleaze, Phuket has some good, clean, fun outdoor activities to offer.

Got back to office today only to be greeted by a pile of work to be done.

Plan to get back to some easy running from today. It was a nice short break to re-charge the batteries (mentally and physically).

Photos of Phuket to come soon.
