Malaysia Memang Boleh! First the Haze, Now Water Shortage! Hooray for Malaysia! Useless @#$%@...

I definitely feel much better.

The medicine really helped with my bowel movements and I'm happy to report that everything is back to normal.

I headed over to KLCC park fairly early yesterday because I had a function to attend at 730pm. My intention was to log in some mileage before heading over to that function. I started my run at the park around 433pm. The skies were threatening but that didn't really bother me. Rain was never an excuse for me not to run.

About 20 minutes into the run it started raining. But it wasn't the type of rain that I expected or fancied- although it looked heavier than it actually was, the truth is that there were intermittent showers in varying degrees throughout the park. It was heavy around the 800 meter mark, only for it to peter out to a slight spit around the 1200 meter mark, before it became a mild shower around the 250 meter mark. Personally, I would prefer it if it just rained consistently. I was actually feeling a little hot and wouldn't have minded a heavy-ish shower to douse the heat on my body.

John was there too but he chose not to run in the rain. Instead he sat in the booth located behind "our" bench (at the 700 meter mark) and chit chatted with the rubbish collector of KLCC park who was also seeking refuge from the rain.

I ran for one hour and 10 seconds before stopping. Chatted with John for a while and waited to around 620pm. Still no sign of any of the other runners. Granted, it was still raining. At any rate I had to go. Time to get ready for my function.

I parked my car at the open air carpark located next to Corus Hotel. At 645pm, both sides of Jalan Ampang were completely jammed and I decided to walk to the function, which was at StarHill shopping centre. I walked through Avenue K, KLCC and Mandarin Oriental before heading towards Wisma UOA, and then towards Wisma Cosway, onto Menara Standard Chartered, then Lot 10 and toward StarHill. A pretty long walk but I am certain I took less time than driving there. The rain really caused havoc to traffic all around the KL area.

Thankfully the food served at that function was decent stuff- I helped myself to a generous amount of oysters (great stuff!), among others.

It could be a tough day at track today. I was down with food poisoning and my run yesterday was a tad tiring. It takes so long for me to build my fitness up to a certain level but an awfully short time to lose it. It took me just 5 days!
