Lau Sai

Urrrggggh

I lau-sai-ed 5 times yesterday, so it looks like I haven't fully recovered. I met Kenny at the Bukit Jalil park yesterday, intending to run at least 10k, but after 2.5k or so, my stomach was in such pain that I had to find the nearest toilet and let it all out. My run? I was feeling very tired and energy-less anyway. And with good reason. I read that because I've been lau-sai-ing for the past few days, my body hasn't been absorbing any nutrients and more importantly, glycogen/carbohydrates required for my run. Plus I lost alot of water and salt. That's probably why my running has suffered.

Anyway I've been taking some Poh Chai Yin and I'm feeling much better now. Will I go to track today? Probably not. I have to recover properly.

Pity! It's such a good weather to run, although it's a little hot.

Those running, rehydrate, and drink lots of water.
