Check out pm20's blog on our running session on Friday- where we ran in the rain, although I always enjoy running in the rain. PM20 ran 10 laps, and I ran together with him, and ran another 6 laps. By the 13th lap I was starting to tire and the pace per lap slowed to around 7:15. The increasing fatigue I felt was muscular, not cardiac, suggesting that I was reasonably fit (cardiac-wise) but not necessarily physically fit. Maybe it is my mileage catching up with me. After all I've run quite high mileage from October/November of last year (leading up to Singapore Marathon 2004) and after about a week's rest from Singapore, I continued with my mileage up to this point. I've been taking more protein since the turn of the new year. Carbs-wise, I think I'm taking in enough.
Drove home in a slight daze- my legs were dead, I was tired and hungry. I ate so much rice for dinner. Had a long shower and went to sleep. I was pretty sure that I could not make it for tomorrow's 7:00 am 3k time trial at Kg Pandan. But I set my alarm anyway- maybe I will feel better when I wake up.
