KLCC 8 lapper

When I arrived at KLCC park yesterday at approximately 635pm, the running gang were already there. It didn’t take me long to spot them- within a minute or two I saw Jamie, Lisa, Rohaizad and Yong bunched together. I joined them and within seconds I knew they were running at a decent pace- the completion of my first lap (Jamie’s 9th!) confirmed it- 7:15. Yong stopped after that lap. The subsequent laps got faster and faster- 6:50 (at which point Jamie and Rohaizad completed their workouts) and I was left alone with Lisa. Man, she is FAST! The 3rd and 4th laps were run around 6:35. After Lisa stopped, I decided to pile on the pace a little bit. To my surprise I ran the next 4 laps in the following times:-

Lap 5- 6:00 flat
Lap 6- 6:00 flat
Lap 7- 6:00 flat
Lap 8- 5:53

Total: 10k

I was surprised because I didn’t feel as though I was running at that pace. And to top it off, I was running very consistently, hitting every laps at 6:00.

Completed my 8 lapper, and joined Kenneth, Newton and a girl named Yan. I saw Ronnie and John whiz by too.

Left early because I had to attend a dinner.
