Paula Garces is a hot honey

Woke up this morning before the alarm rang, feeling uneasy and somewhat stressed- a clear indication that I did not have a restful sleep last night. First uttered words of the day "What the f*ck!". It was 640am. I decided to drink a cup of coffee, put on my running shoes and switched on the treadmill.

All of a sudden I had to answer the call of nature. I sat on the throne for some 10 minutes. In that short space of time, I somehow got sleepy again, and went back to bed. Slept another hour before finally waking up again at about 8:20am. Felt much better after that and managed to arrive at the office on time. Ah, the wonders of staying 5 minutes from your office...

I'll be heading to Singapore tonight. The NICE bus service departs from the old railway station at 9pm tonight. I decided not to buy an earlier service because of the possibility of work. I have been at a client's office in Kelana Jaya for the past week, conducting a Legal Due Diligence exercise with my colleagues. Anyway, doing this Due D with my colleagues has been pretty enjoyable, and I found myself (gulp) actually enjoying the work. Maybe it's the "excitement" of being out of the office, and the fact that I was completely at ease with my peers, thus resulting in greater efficiency and enjoyment of the work. But I'm digressing here.

With the journey taking approximately 5 hours, I will arrive at Singapore only around 2am. Phew! I should be alright though.

Mrs Rabbit is in Singapore for work, and this weekend coincides with the fact that her Australian-Born-Chinese friends from her alma matter, Melbourne Uni, are all converging down in Singapore for a semi-reunion. So I decided to tag along. With the sales ongoing, I'm looking forward to get some good deals out of DVDs, CDs, clothes, shoes, whatever.

Anyway, workout report from Wednesday-

Tuesday- 13k, at Lake Gardens

Wednesday- 9k (speed/interval/tempo), Lake Gardens

Thursday- approx 7k (tempo- no time lah), Lake Gardens

I'm not certain what time I'll be done at the client's office today, but I do hope to squeeze in at least 30 minutes of hard running. Will I be able to run in Singapore? Unlikely I would think, but if there is an opportunity I will try and squeeze it in.

Those running this weekend's 15k, all the best. Give em hell. Last year, I ran a disappointing race. It was during the time when Revenge of the Sith came out!

Have a good weekend.
