The weekend just flew by!
The weekend just flew by.
I was really happy when Friday came. I ran at Lake Gardens for about 1:20 or so before heading to my parents' for dinner. After dinner me and the wife headed to Bangsar to meet her friends.
Saturday was the only day I stayed in and slept. That was really wonderful because I woke up only around 1pm. I really needed my sleep. It was a good rest. Then the afternoon was spent with some household chores (washing stuff). We then headed to TMC to get some groceries, before an appointment with the curtain lady. The curtains in the hall are not yet fixed. Actually we haven't even decided on the colour of the curtains. So, that had to be sorted out. By then it was almost 5pm. I had to go to my parents again to get some of my running clothes. Then I drove to Sin Chew to pay pm22 the money I owed, and had a good conversation with him. Back to my apartment for dinner, it was alnost 730pm by then. No running because we were catching Harry Pothead at One Utama at 845pm.
The movie was ok, although I feel that it lacked the action and story-telling of the previous 3 installments. The Goblet of Fire had more "drama".
The movie ended close to 1145pm, and I went to sleep rather early. So, I was awake for only 11 plus hours!
Then came Sunday already- I headed to Bukit Aman in the morning to get the bus ticket. Saw John and LiSar, and KC over there.
Then I went to church and had breakfast with my parents. Arriving back at the apartment, I got my running clothes ready as I had planned to run around 5pm. Then we drove to Bangi for pm3's open house.
PM3's house is M-A-S-S-I-V-E. And beautiful. He was a gracious host who filled us up with good food. Many of the pms were there and it was (and IS) always good to meet up and chat with the gang. Hanging out with them really stoked my running fire. After chatting with them and also checking out Azwar's wall of achievements where he had his bibs, medals and newspaper cuttings collections, I was really "up for it" for my planned 5pm run. So, after leaving pm3's house I dropped off the wife at an appointment before heading back again to the apartment and got ready for my run.
I only left the apartment around 530pm; headed to Lake Club, parked the car there (the wife is a member and I was driving her car which had the Lake Club car sticker on it), dropped the car keys off with the wife and went for my run round the Lake Gardens area. Ran about 1hr 32 mins. Decent workout.
Went to the in-laws' for dinner, before going back to the apartment again. By then it was already 930pm. Got showered, and then decided to watch the West Ham vs Man U match which was on at 12am. I wanted to watch it partly because of the possibility of an emotional tribute to the late, great George Best (who sadly, drank himself to the grave, but no doubting his footballing abilities). The pre-match tribute turned out to be a minute-long applause, and when the cameras panned on to some of the Man U luminaries, it was rather emotional. And Man U had to win this match at all costs, if not to salvage their Premier League season, at least to pay tribute to possibly, one of the few greatest players to have played for Man U, to have contributed to football. And won, they did- 2-1!
I plan to head to KLCC today because pm5 is bringing his video cam to record our running form. If I can leave today on the dot, the weather and the traffic is good, then that's fine.
