More dreams

It has been an okay day at work. The chat-box on pm1’s website was lively as usual. When 615pm approached I packed my bags and left the office. Since I wasn’t doing any running, I wanted to go to KLCC and check out some books. But alas! It started raining by 630pm, and I ran to my car which was parked in the open air car park located next to Plaza OSK. With the cool weather, I started getting sleepy. Then, I had another dream about running:-

“Arrived at KLCC park around 6:35pm and began running. It was already raining but luckily I had my clima fit cap on so my head was somewhat shielded from the rain. The funny thing is that the rain always seems to help with my running, as if the cooler temperatures delays muscle fatigue. And it is certainly more pleasant (on my part at least) to run in cooler temperatures as opposed to the usual oven-baked air that is trapped within the park. The first 10ks (8 laps) were relatively easy- I felt no apparent discomfort, I was breathing very easily, and my legs were feeling good. On the 9th lap, it really started pouring- really heavily, but then something strange happened- I started running faster and as the heavy rains pelted my body, it felt like I was under a really powerful shower. Around the 400 meter mark of the park, I was shouting “WOOOOO HOOOO!!!” The people who were seeking shelter probably thought I was completely nuts. 400 meters later, a quick check at my watch revealed that I ran that particular lap in 5:30!!! And I wasn’t feeling remotely tired. But realizing that I may pay the price for such a crazy pace later on in my run, I slowed down. I ran another 7 laps in the rain, and during that time I felt extremely comfortable, breathing was very good, good cadence and leg turnover, feeling very strong, at inner peace with myself and I felt as if I could go on and on. I don’t know if I experienced a runner’s high, but as far as I’m concerned, this is probably the closest to a runner’s high I’ve felt. If only all my workouts would be as good as this. Overall I averaged 6:45 per lap.”

And then I woke up! After an elapsed time 1:48.14, I woke up and drove home for dinner. Overall then, I had a dream of a workout for Monday! You do the math.

Still feeling high from the dream, I went to bed and slept soundly
….zzzzzz
