THURSDAY TRACK!!!

Arrived 5 minutes earlier than usual because traffic was slightly (jusssst slightly) better. Of course everyone was already there. Kenneth was there too- this guy is showing some serious determination to improve! Anyway found out that Coach was coming and momentarily I panicked because when Coach ain't around we do sometimes wander around like headless chickens. But have no fear- when Coach ain't around, his offspring is- in the form of Eugene, who is usually even later than me for track but was at track earlier than usual! What a filial son. So responsible, taking over his dad's mantle. Eugene announced that the menu will be 15 x 400m. He wanted us to start immediately! But all of us protested- "what about warm-ups?" to which Eugene replied "you already ran a few rounds!" but we persisted. At any rate I needed to warm-up. So we proceeded to run one lap before starting the workout.

As stated, the menu was as follows:-

15 x 400m

The times started out around 1:35, before gradually decreasing with each repetition till around 1:26.

After a temporary cool down, Kenny and I decided to run another warm down of 2000m at about 5:00 per km pace. When we started that run I started aggresively before Kenny said "weh, slow down lah..." He was right. I was still in speed mode and made myself slow down. We completed the 2000m in about 9:50.

Total km for the day (including the morning workout) 4km + (15 x 400m) + 2km= 12km
