Weekend, dreeeeam, dream dream dream...

Friday was good. In addition to being (almost) the last working day of the week, I had lunch with my running mates Jamie, Rohaizad, Kenneth and Newton at Wisma Central. As usual I carbo loaded myself with fried rice. Note to self- try ordering something else next time. Lunch time always passes by too quickly with these fellas, because we are all so animated about our lunch time topic- which is (surprise surprise) running.

Anyway, like I said, I won't be doing any running at all this week, so any running that I allegedly did were only imaginary or dreamt. And I've been dreaming quite a bit about running. These are the instances:-

On Friday, I dreamt that I ran 10k at KLCC park. On Saturday, I had to go into the office to attend a day long training, and I imagined myself running at Gold's Gym on the treadmill for 40 minutes. And then, t
his morning, I dreamt that I set my alarm for 6:00 am to run in KLCC park. Having arrived at the park at around 6:30am, I proceeded to run an easy 10k, in about 52:00. Thereafter, I had a shower and my breakfast.

Anyway like I said all of that were just dreams. Too bad I didn't run at all....

By the way, on Saturday there was a do organised by Wendy, one of the regulars at track. Basically the do was held in conjunction with celebrating our successes at KLIM 2005, but more importantly, thanking Coach for all the time he has spent with us, nurturing, coaching (and sometimes) scolding us. He truly loves the sport. The track gang were there, although I spent much of the night chatting with Azwar , Kenny and Cecil. Wendy's house is located deep inside Cheras- Taman Bukit Anggerik. Food was buffet style, consisting of chicken curry, fried fish, vegetables and fruits. What was apparent among all the runners was that everyone were lean and mean but the amount of food they consumed that night was amazing! Minimum- 2 to 3 rounds, and their plates were full! All the running has really worked up their appetite, and despite the amount they eat, they burn it off easily.

Later in the night a token was presented to Coach- a wooden frame with pewter on it. There was some singing- most notably by Ah Seah, crooner extraordinaire. And the amount of medals Wendy has accumulated over the years of running- amazing! More than pm1, it appears! Later in the night the track runners were also presented with some tokens- I got a t-shirt! Anyway Coach had an important message too which I can't yet reveal.

So anyway that's my weekend! No running and a party!
