Eagerly awaiting Friday evening

I've been quite busy with work. Last Friday I thought I would've missed the INXS concert because I was made to stay back to assist my boss in completing his report. That, with some research, meant that I left the office at about 8:10pm. It was already a pretty bad day- in not so many words, I was told that I had to attend a particular event or be sacked. Yup. My boss actually told me that. I won't say much about it here, but I'll be happy to relate the story to you if we meet face-to-face.

The INXS concert was great! It took my mind off the bad Friday. The lead singer JD Fortune is a great front man, as he effortlessly worked up the crowd of some 5,000 (in Stadium Negara), but more importantly, he seamlessly combined the old INXS songs (which were sung by the late Michael Hutchence) with the new INXS material. Allthough Kevin Chow and RunWitMe were there, I didn't see them. I did see Mei Jyn though. Nice to see her. If there's one thing I can say about the concert, is that I felt that the sound system focussed a little too much on the bass, and too little on the guitar. And JD's vocals were somewhat muffled with some of the songs. That aside, the show was terrific.

Ran easy with the wife on Saturday and Sunday, about 5ks for both days. That aside, I spent the weekend mulling over what happened on Friday. I'm still pretty upset about that.

Monday- I planned to run at least 15k but my workout was cut short when my right contact lens dropped off, creating an imbalance in my vision. Ran 6k.

Tuesday- 10k easy with KNN, followed by another 2 hard ks, and 5 x 100 meter strides. Rained most of the way. Not that it mattered.

Wednesday- 15k, followed by 5 x 100 meter strides. Rained cats and dogs in Lake Gardens, but that didn't stop me, obviously. In fact the rain was refreshing and it cleared up the skies significantly, allowing me to breathe fresh air.

The haze has been pretty bad, but it appears to be alright in Lake Gardens.

It's been a pretty bad week in terms of work again. Anyway, I'm trying to console myself that this fella is an absolute prick with everyone, and he finds fault with everyone. So, in that regard, he's consistent.

Haze appears to be quite bad today, so we'll see whether I run today. Otherwise, I'll have no choice but to workout indoors, in the gym.
