Asics Gel Cumulus is EXCELLENT!
The last 2 weeks have been extremely busy. Busy to the point that I hardly had the time to blog.
I was running until Friday, before I headed to Singapore last Saturday to attend a friend's wedding. Upon arrival I proceeded to walk in Orchard Road. I had some tea at the Market of CK Tangs, located at the basement level. The food was excellent! The wife had Vietnamese beef noodles whereas I had nasi lemak with otak-otak, not to mention some Yu Cha Koay. Headed back to the hotel where I met Shirlyn to collect pm5's Pegs, before we took a cab to Chijmes, which was where the wedding dinner was held. Believe it or not, I was ignorant enough to think that Chijmes consisted only of the nightspots. I never knew that it was once a church and a school, which has been converted into what it is today. In fact, I never even saw the church until I arrived there! All I ever saw were the nightspots.
The dinner was held in the church itself. The church was no longer in use and I suppose the owners decided that it would be appropriate enough it to be used as a "banquet hall" of some sort.
It was a beautiful setting, though. Chandeliers connected to the very high ceilings, dim lighting, and the overall atmosphere of the dinner made it a wonderful night.
Apart from that I went walking around the Orchard Road because the hotel I was staying in was located right by Lucky Plaza. Attractive women aplenty as usual, but I must emphasise that they are attractive, not drop dead gorgeous, or beautiful for that matter. I think the Singaporean women just groom themselves better. As for dating them, that is another matter entirely. Two words- high maintenance.
Took the 130pm bus back to KL on Sunday. The traffic was very good, to my surprise. I guess many folks have decided to start their holidays very early. When I reached home, I headed to my mom's place for dinner.
Monday was somewhat hectic- headed to a clients' office to finalise details of a legal due diligence exercise, before rushing off my report. It did not end there, however- I had to finalise an Action Plan for some American clients. I stayed until 8pm, before heading back to my apartment for dinner.
Tuesday I headed to Bukit Aman for the long run with Coach. Having not done my long run in some time, I decided that I would just run for time, not distance. And keep the intensity low- this workout was just designed to keep me on my feet for 2 hours or so. In the end I ran about 2 hours 10 minutes. Headed to my childhood friend's house for Deepavali, where I ate too much. I couldn't walk, let alone run, after that.
Wednesday- just spent time doing my household chores.

Thursday- more of the same thing- chores. Went to boss's house for Raya dinner. Wonderful lamb that his wife cooked.
Friday- headed to a hot spring area called Sungkai, which is located up north in Perak, about 1hr 20 minutes by car.
Saturday- ran the double hill route, and met Ronnie with Joviet later. Ran 2 laps around the lake area with Ronnie. I ran in the Asics Gel Cumulus and I'm happy to report that the shoes were absolutely excellent, even better than the Pegasus in my humble opinion. Thereafter went grocery shopping and had my lunch after that. I'm happy to report that I finally bought my decaf coffee! Lunch- I tucked into a massive plate of fried rice and crashed for 2 hours after that. I was just so exhausted.
