The days and weeks are coming thick and fast. Exams begin on 30th April and end 6th May. Aside from being a full-time dad, running Daddy Day Care all by myself, I have been busy collating all the documents required for my final push towards the exams. I am all alone in this since we fired our domestic helper for her incompetence and lack of discipline, including yakking endlessly on her mobile phone to the wee hours of the morning with other men (she’s already married with 3 kids), resulting in her waking up later than us (a big no-no), and claiming the work needed to be done in our 1,300 sq. feet apartment is too much for her.

Back to my exams- so I‘ve been collating the documents- also known as “muggers notes”- i.e. documents that you study and try to cram in as much as possible in the shortest possible time. Time is what I don’t have enough of these days. Morning (830am) starts with cleaning up the baby, changing her diapers, entertaining her till 10am, then preparing her milk, feeding her and putting her to sleep; sterilising the bottles, before a brief respite while she sleeps for 2 hours or so; next up, her afternoon feed, then entertaining her, bathing her, feeding her another time before her tea time nap; it is already 5pm by then, so another brief respite for 2 hours or so. Clear up, clean the apartment a little, do the dishes/laundry/bed; then it is already dinner time. Wife comes home from work; we have our dinner, wash the dishes, clean the kitchen, then I head to the gym to workout; then it’s the baby’s feed again before midnight. Will be enlisting my mother’s help as the final week approaches, because I really need to study.

So until my exams are over, the entries this month will be very few and far between. Catch ya’ll later…
