Panic!

Well, I'm back in Singapore, for another week at least. It was truly a wrench leaving KL as my wife and newborn daughter Mia were there but I need to get to the serious business of really studying. As I type this, I have 20 days left before my exams and I haven't started studying properly, and in a slight state of panic. Sure, the subjects are areas that I have dealt with in practice, slogged over at degree level in university but I still need to know the authorities/case-law to back up my points. Unlike medicine for instance, the academic side of law is not necessarily applicable to the practical side.

I miss Jeanne and Mia. Sob sob... the time spent cleaning Mia's poop, diapers, soothing her etc is priceless, and I can always take my exams again (if I fail), so it was worth it!

On the running front, yesterday was supposed to be my "last" workout with Der Pacemakers before I left today. The menu was set to be 4 loops of the 2.8k, route. i arrived at 625pm and waited until 635pm, before deciding to run on my own. I figured that they started without me and true enough, as I was running along the Carcosa route, I heard someone call out to me- I turned around and there was Suresh, who told me that (in not so many words) that they started earlier. I had decided to run the larger, approx 5.6km-per-loop-route- the one that took me to the Planetarium, the National Mosque and Bukit Aman. And that was what I did- I ran 2 loops in an easy pace, finishing the workout in 1:04.

Right, off to shower and sleep. I have to get some serious studying done tomorrow, but not forgetting putting in at least 10k worth of running too.

Cheerio
